Location:

Home based, with meetings held in Leckhampstead Village Hall

Salary:

LC1 7-17 depending on experience (£10.63 - £12.95)

Hours:

3 hours a week, meetings held in the evening 5 times a year (minimum)

Our council and the role:

Leckhampstead is a small rural parish with several areas of common land, playing field and a playground. 

We are looking to appoint a Clerk / Responsible Finance Officer to carry out administrative duties as required by law and be responsible for the financial records of the Council and the careful administration of its finances as required under the Accounts & Audit Regulations.



Duties will include:

  • Administrative duties including preparations of meeting agenda and minutes
  • Maintaining financial records, paying suppliers produce budgets and manage CIL funds and grant applications
  • Conduct general village checks, obtain quotes for works as required and liaise with various contractors.
  • Maintain parish website
  • Handle all correspondence on behalf of the Parish Council, manage emails and keep Councillors up to date.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Previous experience would be an advantage but is not essential. Training available.

What we offer you in return:

Hours are flexible and can fit with your own commitments, meetings are held at 6.30pm on Tuesday evening, generally 5 times a year.
